As a true Angier native, the owner Matt Cotten has strong, sentimental roots in Angier, NC. 

His grandfather, Jay Cotten, served as the very first police chief of Angier. His great-grandfather, Ralph Matthews, started Ralph's BBQ,  was then carried on by Matt's grandparents, Bud & Glenda Wimberley. The restaurant was later sold, becoming the currently infamous Sunny Skies Ice Cream. 

Even Matt's great-grandmother, Claudia Matthews, is honored on the town gazebo plaque dedicated to "Those Who Loved Angier." 

Needless to say, for Matt and his family, Angier isn't just a hometown - it's a proud history of deep-rooted love, service, and community that inspires us to carry forward a legacy in this special, beloved town.
